Mindfulness Painting Experience
Mindfulness Painting is about making the experience of painting more important than the product of making a painting.  The painter slows their breath, becomes more aware of their body’s internal senses and feelings.  Instead of thinking about what to paint, the painter is guided by the colors of the paint and by the brush that transcends rules and linear thoughts.  Mindfulness painting invites the painter to express their internal landscape by allowing colors to call, the brush to make placement on the paper of shapes, forms and images.  The goal of Mindfulness Painting is free expression that emphasizes the creative process rather than technique or expertise.
