Good Mental Health is Key to a Good Life

Welcome to Mindfulness Painting Experience!

How are you? How is your family? I hope you are all doing well.

I love getting to know a person’s story. It gives our relationship much more depth. As a young girl, trying to figure out my feelings was much simpler. The older I got, the more complicated relationships became, and the ability to figure out what to do with my feeling got even more complex. So, I started therapy when I was 19 years old and group therapy at 22. I was passionate about the process of emotions, how freeing it was and how much more clarity I felt.

So, why am I telling you all of this? I think good mental health is the key to a good life. I know, I may be speaking to the choir. Over the years, I’ve taken a more holistic approach to mental health. Therapy is my #1 go-to when life gets too complex but I’ve widened my scope of methods of what helps me to live a healthy and happy life. I now include therapy, good nutrition, exercise, spirituality, and creativity to my mental health and self-care strategy.

I know that most of us don’t have a lot of time for self-care. So let’s start small and simple. How about a 10-minute mindfulness meditation sometime during the day?
