Mindfulness Painting is about creating the experience using paint not the product of making a painting.
Mindfulness painting is similar to meditation. In meditation, the breath is slowly followed. In painting mindfully, the painter slowly follows the brush. The process invites the painter to focus on their feelings and sensations on the inside expressing the painter’s internal landscape by allowing the colors to call, the brush to make placement on the paper of shapes, forms and images.
Mindfulness Painting is about free expression that emphasizes the creative process rather than technique or expertise.
